I work for a government agency and today I got an email saying that tomorrow road conditions may include 2-6 inches of snow and possibly a layer of ice, and even worse on Friday with gusts of wind going up to 40 mph. Yet they still want everyone to come back to work tomorrow who doesn't have a job that requires a college degree. Everyone else gets to stay home and not have to worry about dying on the interstate because some asshole in a lifted truck was going too fast and rear ends you. Someone literally died a few years back because of getting a notice saying they had to come into work or she'd be fired. It's honestly starting to make me lose hope that the average worker will ever be valued over a company's profits. Rant over
