Why is HR so hated

Hello! Question for the sub. From an anti-work perspective, why is HR so universally hated? I understand that the company is essentially their primary customer, whereas other roles are closer to the product output or consumer touchpoint. But this mostly seems like semantics in my opinion. At the end of the day, efforts made by any and all employees uphold the company as a total entity and serve the company's bottomline. Is it really more reprehensible to work for HR as opposed to other jobs?
