These ‘Personality Assessment’ questions are so manipulative

Every time you have to fill one of these 'personality assessment' questionnaires out, it's like you can always tell which option they want you to pick just based on the wording. And when you break it down, the demands seem almost unreasonable. Here's an example of statements they want you ranking on how true they are: “I rarely get upset at work.” You can tell they want you to pick 'Very True' but why? It's normal to get upset at work. People are annoying. People can be unnecessarily needy. And when they become difficult to deal with, that gets me a little upset. Sorry for having this very normal reaction. “At work, I readily forgive others.” Why? Why should I? You can tell they want you to pick 'Very True' but why? It's normal to get upset at work. People are annoying. People can be unnecessarily needy. And when they become difficult to deal with, that gets me a little upset. Sorry for having this very normal reaction.

“At work, I readily forgive others.”

Why? Why should I? I'll forgive you if I think you should be forgiven, but I'm not handing out forgiveness like it's free candy.

“At work, I never run out of enthusiasm.”

I mean, be real. You expect me to keep the same level of enthusiasm all throughout my eight-hour no break shift? Gtfo.

“I prefer familiarity and routine at work to novelty and variety.”

I see this one a lot. You know they want you picking the option where it's an 'ever-changing environment.' Like having a routine is a bad thing. Can we not have a sense of normalcy, you fucking psychopaths?

They make it seem like you are to always be happy at your job, you'll do as much as work as they need you to even if it's not in your job description, you'll be a personal punching bag, and all that with a smile on your face. And a shit wage at the end of the day. I'm tired of it.
