So after 2yrs of working, each weekend, long weekend, holidays and many days in between. After making myself available anytime, to cover a shift or be an extra. Not seeing a penny in bonus, raise of wage or anything; I felt it was time to go.
When I went to sit down with the boss/owner, stating that I feel it's time to leave because: costs are up, gas is up, my mortgage is up and I simply can't afford to continue to drive to work. (understand that I worked in a place where the store could clear 5k+in slow day).
After speaking truth and being honest, the reply was
” surprised you stayed this long”.
Like wtf? I bust my ass to make this person rich, hoping to reap some sort of benefits.
