Boss told me to quit after I collapsed down at work

Edit: Oops, messed up the title a bit but it still works. This story is a bit older – happened before I knew about this sub. But I feel like I can share that here. Basically it was a minimum wage job where I would stand all day and put things in boxes. This story is a bit older – happened before I knew about this sub. But I feel like I can share that here.

Basically it was a minimum wage job where I would stand all day and put things in boxes.

One day I went to work like normal and for a bit all went well but then I suddenly had extremely bad abdominal pain (I still don't know why – that was not normal) and I couldn't stand anymore. Like… not just “I am tired, I want to sit” but I actually fell and even tried to grab the table to pull myself back up but I just couldn't. I had to leave early that day.

Then the next day my boss made me go to the locker room with her (I guess because it was actually more private than her office) where she told me I should quit because I am not efficient enough for them when I have to leave early. I'm gonna admit I cried. She didn't fire me – she told me I should quit. She told me I had one day to think about it.

So I called the next day… and told them I was quitting. She actually had the nerve to tell me how “sad” it is. When it was her idea! Made me feel like I made the wrong decision… But maybe it was right. My back hurt a lot from standing and looking down all day.
