But then I decided to take a small roadtrip around some national parks and absolutely everything was packed to the core.
People seem to be vacationing like crazy. I get this feel also from my friends from social media, friends of friends, family, etc. Everyone on different stages of life and different jobs. Almost everyone I know is traveling like crazy.
Maybe it is my own personal circle, but I live in Hidalgo county (one of the poorest metros in the USA) and even my neighbors are building a pool and many coworkers have new trucks or cars.
Not hating on anybody. But all the people around me seem more prosperous than ever and in my vacation I met so many Americans traveling hard core. Good for them!
Am I missing something? Real life and what I see on reddit seem to contradict each other. But again, that's my opinion coming from one of the poorest areas in the US
