Imagine how vastly different our country would look if we did the manufacturing, exporting, and transportation of all of the same products that we consume. I used to have the bootlicker mentality of “if we did that a simple pair of scissors would cost $20”. Problem is, they pretty much already do cost that much. And mega corporations from the US pay Chinese workers pennies- basically enslaving them- and then keep all of that extra profit that comes from paying slave wages- for themselves and shareholders. And the icing on the cake- is they design most things to break at some point- ensuring they'll be able to manufacture and sell basically an unlimited amount of products. Corporations and their leaders might be the most evil thing that exists in this world.
