Can someone explain this to me in terms I can grasp?

I got this email in regards to our vacation time. Can someone break it down to stupid so I can understand? I hope you and your family had a nice holiday if you celebrated one. I got this email in regards to our vacation time. Can someone break it down to stupid so I can understand?

I hope you and your family had a nice holiday if you celebrated one.

Your accrual year is based on your start date, so yours is in August. Your vacation time does not expire in August, it does carryover.

The maximum amount you can carryover is 120 hours (15 days).

The maximum you can accrue based on your length of employment; in your case, 4 years, is 80 hours (10 days). The carryover amount is not included in the max accrual. So, in theory, if you never took any time off, you could conceivably end up maxed out at 200 hours. After 5 years of employment (which you’re coming up on), your max accrual will be 15 days (and you will accrue time at a higher rate).

Please let me know if you have any other questions, or need clarification on anything. I tried to crunch down a lot of information as much as possible, but I’m happy to go into as much depth as you’d like.
