Does your company ask you to donate money to other employees?

Mine sure does. Annually. I used to complain about it because they track the % of each department that donate (not the amount), and use that to drive competition. Then they offer completely terrible incentives for us to participate, like a free breakfast (I work from home), forcing bosses to make funny TikTok video (I'm not 16), and other stuff I truly don't care about. Additionally, I give no fucks about the employees we're supposed to be helping. They are in that position because the company chooses to underpay them, they are paid minimum wage, and then asking the salaried employees to do donate, blindly. That said, on the first day, I now donate $1.00 annually because it counts to our stats.

So…I donated, I should be done, right? Nope. SIX more emails over the past 2 weeks encouraging us to donate, listing the amazing things we'll get if we “Win”, and other crap.

Then before our monthly team meeting, a manager I don't report to sends an image around asking everyone to put that as their zoom background listing the initiative, and many people did (But many didn't). I definitely feel they are well past the line of what is considered “Pressure”.

And if you say anything, don't pretend to care (or actually care), and provide feedback, it would be taken badly and be a career limiting move.
