Millennials are shattering the oldest rule in politics: they are not voting for the right as they get older.

According to the Financial Times, Millennials in the US and the UK are the first generation that doesn't follow the old pattern which predicts that people tend to vote conservatives / republicans as they get older. In fact, survey data shows that having reached political maturity in the aftermath of the global financial crisis, millennials are tacking much further to the left on economics than previous generations did, favouring greater redistribution from rich to poor.
