Literally a “idk what to do here issue”…

Currently, I work as a custodian at a elementary school. I work the second shift and only have to deal with the first shift custodian for roughly an hour and a half… which is about an hour, twenty-nine minutes, and fifty seconds too long. I can't stand this woman. She leaves these passive-aggressive notes all the time. She gets bent out of shape if I so much as move a clipboard from one spot on the our desk to another… still on the desk, or move anything in the mini-fridge just to make room for my energy drinks… and apparently it's her fridge, she made sure I knew that with a note written on bright neon card stock taped to the fridge door. She's a… special kind of petty. I actually like this job. It's far better than the one I recently quit after four year (that's a whole other…

I actually like this job. It's far better than the one I recently quit after four year (that's a whole other story). I enjoy when the children wave and say hello when I walk in the building. I get along with all the staff, except her. I work at my own pace. I can jam out to heavy metal at full volume while I work. The benefits are great. Automatic life insurance with employment. I have medical, dental, and vision insurance on the cheap for the first time in 16 years… but this woman…who thinks seniority means superiority. Who thinks she's my boss, even though she isn't… has become a gigantic thorn in my side and making me regret taking the job.

I could quit, but I don't want to. I could transfer within the school district, but honestly don't want to do that either. I feel as though taking the issue to our actual boss will only make things worse too.

There's another option, I could just go to another district that would be closer to home, but that means I have to go through the entire process of applications, interviews, background checks (which I pay for), and other fun fun stuff, but again… don't really want to.

Literal rock and a hard place here.
