I'm picking up a part time job for a few months to help with a huge 3 week west coast road trip later this year and had a interview lined up at 4:30 today at Home Depot but got a part time overnight job at Walmart instead b/c it's closer to home and pays 3 dollars more an hour than Depot. So I call to let them know instead of just not showing up and the woman on the phone says “So your just quiting on your first day, oh ok I see what kind of person you are now” I say no ma'am I've never had a job with you to quit, I'm just calling to let you know I had an interview and I didn't want to be put down as a no show. I got a job with the same shift that pays $3 more an hour and a lot closer to home. Her :: oh I see your just gonna quit on your first day with no notice because all your interested in is the money, that's fine what is your full name so I can put in down that you just quit without notice. So I sit for a min just confused then tell her my name & she says whatever and hangs up. LMAO
I'm tripping. I don't know what to think about it. What did she really think I would turn down a job 18 miles closer to home that pays $3 more just for them ?
So weird.
