I want to change the work hours at my job but I’m too nervous

My first day of work was today and so far it was pretty good. The only problem I have is that they want me to start at either 7:30-4:30 or 7-4. I wasn't expecting this schedule because the email the recruiter had sent me stated it will be 8 am unless the supervisor says otherwise. I don't have a car but my sister's worksplace is a block away from mine and her schedule is 8-5 so she gives me ride everday. Should I ask the supervisor if they can accomadate me? This is a contract position but you are treated like a salaried employee with benefits and all. I ask on this sub because I'm afraid I will be repremended if I say anything especially since I just started. And Im assuming some of you on this sub have gone through something similar this. Should I just let them know…

Should I just let them know as soon as possible or wait for a few months? My sister is fine with it, however I don't want to mess with her schedule.
I need to start setting boundaries but I don't know how to. I can't because im afraid to speak up. I was fired from my last job because I couldn't please my micromanging boss. Im afraid of losing my job. How can you be assertive and build boundaries?
