I received an email from the local school board touting an “Exciting New Benefit for Substitute Teachers.”
What is this benefit you ask? The county has agreed to cover the cost of the fingerprinting and drug test needed for the job!*
*New employee will reimburse the district over their first 4 paychecks for the cost of the fingerprinting and drug tests.
This coming from a school district that recently had 12 teachers absent with Covid and 1 substitute. They resulted in putting 10 classrooms of mixed grades into the lunch room and did classes on the PA system.
