I work in retail. We get 1hr unpaid breaks for every 7 hours worked and are entitled to 15 minute paid breaks. My manager almost never gives people their paid breaks, instead letting the employee ask for it and hope they’ll be allowed to if it’s not too busy or close to their shift end or whatever. Is this legal? I live in MI.
