Just received an offer that says a pre-employment screening may be required. (Hoping that the “may” means they won’t) but it says it would include a bunch of verifications including employment verification (not sure if it means work history or just that I’m authorized to work in the US), criminal background check, credit and dmv check. It doesn’t mention any drug testing which I wasn’t really worried about anyway but I have bad credit and I may have added an extra month or two on some job history and fluffed up my former job titles. I went through 4 interviews for this position. I signed my offer but I’m still so nervous.
Any insight would be appreciated!
Edit: thank you everyone for the quick responses. For those of you who have experienced this, did they tell you before hand? There was no mention of it during the interview and verbal offer. I just saw it on the offer letter.
