This wasn’t at work, so this might not belong here, but during my HNC for my engineering career we went through management styles. One of the questions put forward to the class was what’s something to improve to prevent high turnover of staff. To which this tutor said “Oh you can’t say money as it isn’t an incentive”.
I then put across the scenario of “If the college said you had to do this job for free would you still do it”, this isn’t applicable apparently so what she said is blatant bullshit.
To be clear I respect this woman as she was very supportive throughout my course even when I was struggling in areas, but this was something I flat out didn’t see as correct.
