Just had a 1:1 with my direct lead. I was given a 3% yearly raise, despite living in a high COL area. And I was given a yearly bonus just over $1k.
It is better than most people get and I feel blessed to get anything. But I work for a Fortune 50 company that pulled 3/4 of a billion dollars last year, and used a lot of money to do stock buy backs. Also, the CEO and most of the board got bonuses of more than a million.
If it wasn’t for the fact that the company is 50k+ people big, I’d want to work toward unionising.
