I hate this search. I currently have a “job”, but I make about 24k /yr and it’s not going to cut it. I hold a degree in economics, 3 years of federal work experience, ran a start-up, and currently enrolled in a Masters Program. What’s a dude gotta do to get a job these days? I’m not over qualified or under qualified for these positions. Just because I pursued music for a while instead of being completely unemployed during the pandemic doesn’t mean I’m unemployable, but I have a feeling that’s what may be going on.
I’m searching for ESG (environmental social governance) analyst work. There are SO many jobs posted, but I guess because I don’t hold a degree from Harvard I’ll never break through.
All my life I’ve chosen positions that would be environmentally conscience instead of high pay.
Does anyone experience this too? You find a job and it’s like: holy shit! That’s the one! …only to find a “we regret to inform you” ?
