Got the job! Then it was rescinded because they offered me 10k less than what was posted and I would not accept

I apply for this job on indeed. The posting said “pay: $55,000” for a sales position. I applied and heard back for an interview, I am so excited. This would be my first salaried position (I'm late 20's and work at a restaurant – a job I love but salaried is salaried). The person who is hiring for this position reaches out to me a few days after I applied and we have a phone interview the next week. I get selected to move onto the video interview and it went so well. I was so proud of myself honestly – I knew I nailed it. Two days later I receive a phone call from the person who is hiring for the position. They start telling me how I was their first choice and they were so impressed by the video interviews, I was the strongest candidate. They are offering me the job and I need to come in next week to see the systems etc etc. This person then proceeds to offer me $45,000 for the position. I was a bit shocked because I clearly saw $55,000 – not a range. On the phone call I said I needed to think about it and talk to my partner over night and I would email them in the morning.

The morning comes and I send the hiring person a email saying I was a bit confused as this job said nothing about a range of how much was going to be paid. It said 55k and nothing about anything else. The person replied in an email reiterating that they are offering me 45k to start and after a three month period he would offer me 55k. However, after that statement they said “provided we hit some pricing goals”. Which leads me to believe they would make some excuse as to why they couldn't pay me the advertised price but I digress. They said in the email both that I would be and would not be working weekends? Super confusing. At this point red flags are all I can see.

I reply in an email saying that I do not understand why they would post an amount if they had no expectation to pay out that amount. I said if I do start at a lower amount for 3 months it would be no less than 50k and I would need a contract saying after 3 months I would be paid the ADVERTISED AMOUNT. I also asked for clarity about working weekends.

2 days go by and I get an email back from this person. It says that they understood my “points” and unfortunately because I cannot work weekends (which I never said I couldn't) they couldn't offer me the job. They said it was because “It would be unfair of me to ask you to be in a position where you would be unable to achieve your potential” – because they assumed I couldn't work weekends. That was the reason I was not getting the job.

I did not reply.

A day later – they repost the job with a range of $45k-$55k – LOL.

I have screenshots of all of this also.
