I normally don’t post on here, but I was recently employed by a company about a month ago. When they were doing the initial presentation, they specifically said unionization was not allowed at this workplace. While I don’t personally have an issue with this and wasn’t planning on joining a union regardless, (I’m just a team member) I thought it was very odd that they would not allow unionization. I have only had positive experiences with this employer, they have been flexible with my schedule, don’t over work me, don’t really ask me to do anything crazy, but the fact that they don’t allow unionization is so odd and a little concerning.
Should I be concerned or is this normal?
