Just here to vent a little bit. I’m a cleaner ft and I’ll just start by saying that usually I don’t mind. I’m finally being paid a “living wage” and cleaning is something I’m good at. I have a lot of work that keeps be busy but the time goes by fast and my days are mostly uneventful. It just gets pretty dehumanizing sometimes. No matter how hard you work people look at you like a slave/servant. I will greet people who refuse to even make eye contact with me. I clean up every imaginable mess from human and animal waste to discarded medical waste and anything else people want to leave around. Sometimes it feels like people intentionally do these things because they can or they just don’t have any respect for the human that has to deal with it. Maybe it’s because I was raised in a poor family but we were taught to treat others with respect and especially respect hard working people. It just sucks so much sometimes that people will literally force a stranger to clean up they’re blood/shit/piss because “it’s their job and they get paid to do it.” I don’t even work in a medical building, people are just disgusting everywhere.
