I thought I had it made

Long post: sorry! TLDR is at the bottom. Got a job at a wastewater treatment plant (it’s really not that gross after all) last October, it’s with an international firm. I could move all over the globe within this company if I wanted to later on down the line. I get paid decently to pretty much do fuck-all. I look at Reddit, listen to my favorite podcast, and play on my Nintendo pretty much all day. Probably about an hour or two of actual work. Anyways, today, our supervisor came into the office and told us all that we will all be sent to CDL school next month to get CDL’s in order to haul our bio solids to the nearby farmers fields (it’s good fertilizer).

Now, I have pretty bad anxiety and the thought of driving a vehicle that could squish me like a bug in an instant pretty much sent me into a full blown panic attack. I had to go sit in the bathroom and just calm down. I felt like such a wuss. Never felt that way before.

The point is, I thought I had it pretty much made. There’s always going to be a major downside to each job that you find out later on down the line AFTER you’ve already been hired. I asked if all of us absolutely had to go through with it even if we’re not comfortable with it and was obviously told “yes.” What would you guys do in this situation?

TLDR; decent job, decent pay, pretty much no work, but now I’m being forced to get a CDL and drive a big machine that could potentially tip or squish me or anyone around me. Not sure what to do.
