I was freaking interrogated yesterday by an interviewer (she is the CEO of the company) about gaps in my employment history dating back to 1989. Yes, 33 years ago. She spent 15 minutes asking me about those gaps, some as small as a month or two while I looked for another job. “Why did you leave that job?” “What were you doing?” On and on and on. I've read about people here telling their interviewers to take a flying fuck, but I didn't because I was truly interested in finally finding out about their job.
Bait and switch big time. No, you will not be working primarily in this location (25 minutes away), but you will mainly be working in that location (50 miles away). Oh, and you may be required to go to another location that is 3 hours away once in awhile. Oh, and you will have to come to our corporate office in another state, 2.5 hours away, once a quarter.
Funny, the CEO said they have a hard time keeping employees. She actually said, “this generation just has a different idea about work ethic.” Mind you, she and I are probably around the same age, in our 50's. I really just felt like telling her to take her damn job and shove it.
I hope they offer the job to me so that I can tell her exactly what I thought about her shitty interview, which by the way, she expected virtually within 2 hours of the phone interview.
