This is why the corporations hate unions, collective bargaining, the ability to set the wage you and your fellow workers deserve.
No your company didn't post record profits you exploited your workers and their paychecks.
Increasing food subsidies were all that was keeping food affordable for workers who every year were losing money to their jobs. Trump reduced food subsidies and increased oil subsidies then Biden doxed those but didn't reup food subsidies so now the small farmer is dead and corporate farms are dominating. So food is now becoming more and more of a luxury because corporate farms want and can turn higher profits by charging more because of less competition.
Don't get me started on predatory corporate landlords and how Trump made it easier for those leeches like him.
Now how does that relate to wage negotiation well you need to be able to afford a life food water and shelter are not luxuries. This should be stated when discussing wages!
But the most important thing to state is the wage you need and deserve! Idc what the job description says or what they want to pay you If you reference the advertised wage they'll think you're clueless on what you need to live on. STATE THE WAGE YOU NEED AND DON'T BUDGE. always deride them for under offering and make it clear you need this much or you walk and then laugh at them while you walk.
We don't need the government to tell these assholes what to pay us we need to decide what it is. Not taking a low ball wage only helps your fellow workers and will only increase the likelihood of your fields wages going up.
Also if you don't make enough now stop working immediately and start telling your boss you can't live therefore you don't work, you have power no matter your position in a company don't forget that.
In pursuit of this goal I think the anti work sub should try to operate as more of an open union to progress workers rights and education!
Thank you for reading my rant
