Just hoping to save other people some time by not bothering with this company.
I applied to an “urgently hiring” job on Indeed a couple of weeks back. They took over a week to start setting up interviews and once the interview was set up (with less than 24 hours notice) they were over an hour late to the interview, citing “Sorry, we had another interview run VERY long.” This interview was by phone.
They're offering $16 an hour for a part time medical records retrieval person (you drive to a medical office and scan records into their software at the convenience of the medical office). So this position is, by nature, on-call. They want the employee available 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday but the position will only pay for 20 to 30 hours per week.
Additional compensation for travel. They use a formula of (total miles driven in a day -50)*$.50 to calculate the compensation, stating that the first 50 miles travelled per day is “expected”. Also they are seeking people within a 30 mile radius of the market they're trying to cover, in this case Springfield , Oregon.
They seem very interested in taking advantage of employees from the very start of employment and uninterested in even showing the respect of conducting a proper interview. If this sounds like it's for you, okay, but they wasted my time.
