My brother in Washington State was fired for asking for a wage increase. Washington is an at-will state, but wage discussion is protected under law. After verbal offers and counter-offers, the company told him they were parting ways and asked for his keys. His employers are now telling other employees he quit. He has missed 1 day (today) from work under the impression he was fired. What is his recourse? I've highly encouraged him to talk to a lawyer as soon as possible (today).
