I'm leaving to further my education, which you think they'd be happy about. I gave a month's notice since it can be hard to find somebody already trained for my job. They usually have to train somebody from the beginning, which takes months. I have three supervisors I work with, one of which is a level higher than the other two. I personally told one of the lower-level supervisors, and they asked if they could tell the others. Sure, no problem.
Those two are totally fine with it. One is pretty happy for me. One asked me about what I'm doing with genuine interest, chatting on and on for 20 minutes. But the higher one? We have not had one single conversation about this. They only know about it because my other supervisor told them. Won't glance at me, won't speak, barely responds when I say something. I'm blown away with the immaturity and passive aggressive behavior. Looks like I made the right choice.
