I don’t know if anyone can or will use this, but I’ve never had gaps in my employment by using my mothers business as the filler. She has her own accounting firm, and I didn’t really work with her until recently, but she would ask me for help randomly or ask me questions about computers or something like that. So in my mind, I worked with her from blank time to blank time between jobs. When I didn’t live in the same state, I was remote for those times. If you have a family member that has a company, ask them if they mind.
I know not everyone can do it, but maybe someone can.
