So I work for a grocery chain (we'll call it drink tiger) my father in law passed away yesterday when I went in to tell them the details they just said oh you don't get berievment pay bc ur only part time,I had a verbal contract and most of my check stubs say I'm FT associate when I brought this up to general manager said oh it was just labeled wrong and you was hired as PT and wouldn't recieve the berievment pay it's not an issue About money but when ever I went in and sat down and discussed things with GM her response was “at least it was just an in law and not like your real dad” this man has lived with me every day for the past 3-5+ years I'm torn my heart is broken but my attitude for vengeance is high
