I literally had this conversation with my close ones today about employers doing this. I’ve had 4 interviews and multiple calls & emails with this company for an open position they were looking to fill immediately. I had a call with them today & I was told previously salary and any last min questions would be the nature of this call. Instead, I was told they are still interviewing other candidates and if they decided to move forward with me my final interview would be with a man who will be judging my appearance and tone of my voice as it’s a front desk operations position. They also let me know they hadn’t communicated w the other manager regarding how my interview went with them so that felt like a waste of my time. There were other instances of miscommunication/ lack of communication throughout the whole interview process.
I took this call on my lunch thinking I’d be offered the position and discuss the details based off of what I was told. I was left feeling frustrated and hungry. They knew I was sacrificing my lunch to take the call.
Ultimately idc if they decide to move forward w me or not, I don’t want it anymore. Even if I hate my job rn.
