So I've been drawing since I was 13, and I do it ALL the time. Its the best way I know to handle my adhd. During collage and my last job, no one had any problems with it. I even make money off my drawings!
I work in the fuel booth, meaning I'm alone for 9 hours a day, 2-11. So I work on commissions on my tablet, or draw in my sketch book while I wait around for customers.
Today not one, but TWO managers told me to 'leave the toys at home'
I'm still doing my job. I sit for 1 hour, and get up and clean up trash organize the drinks, and I stop whatever I'm doing to help customers!
But because I make money off my drawings its 'time theft'
this place also doesn't give me breaks (well, it started as normal, two 15 minute, and a 30 minute lunch. But now its meant to be two 10 minute, and a 15 for lunch which I don't get), I'm not allowed to take breaks inside the store (only allowed to go inside for food to bathroom) and more often than not when I sit in the back on break, its interrupted. Its not like I can draw any other time.
