What are some critical questions to ask at the end of an interview?

Learn from my mistake. I had a very good interview and I have 20 years of experience in my field so I only asked a few simple questions about the position. What I should have asked is if there was an internal candidate applying for the position. I got my hopes up for a week only to have them dashed when I was informed of the long term temp that was offered the position.
