Ever have those days where your like… yeah I’m calling out tomorrow

I’m a preschool teacher and it was spring break this week. Every spring break obviously the classes are low due to vacations. My class usually moves to aftercare at 4 but it’s a known thing on these special weeks we move up at 3. I did my usual and combined at 3 and left. Tuesday I go into work and my boss informed me that the after care teacher was not going to allow me to just leave at 3 because I could and that my kids weren’t welcomed just any time. My response was silence because I was so taken back. I had a flight at 7pm on Wednesday so I knew if I didn’t get to leave at 3 I would be pushed for time and stressed. What was my response… I called out on Wednesday morning right at 6:45 which is the time I’m supposed to be…

I hope my boss had a wonderful freaking Wednesday and not to mention the aftercare lady who wanted to complain had to work my room on Wednesday. It felt great.
