Whether it's racism (look up the famous LBJ quote), or homophobia, a lot of Americans are okay with themselves and their kids not having food as long as the poor person next to them has it worse. I've met a lot of white people on WIC and disability who will rail against blacks whom they perceive as taking all the welfare. Ummm…WIC and disability are social welfare programs to help people. But blacks might starve a little worse if it's taken away, so I'm okay with my ad being taken away.
