I hope I'm not judged, but the context should help. I live in America where they imprison more than thier fair share of people. I live in Texas where they lock up most of the worlds prisoners, to receive federal funding. It is big business. I am not a violent person, and nobody I know would consider me a criminal.
I have seen first hand the power when the masses of oppressed people refuse to work. Now the officers have to do the work, and it's not in thier contract. The prison is losing money because they sell some of the free labor usually.( Yes in Texas they are paid 0.00) The officers union is complaining. Any advocates for inmates are demanding an explanation for the lockdown. Within 24 hours the warden is walking around talking to inmates. Asking what they want. These people started out as doing whatever they are told, or else. Now all of the sudden, they have negotiating power. Within 2 weeks the officers agree to the inmates demands.
If the workers can organize the movement, it will succeed. Food stamps, they have to feed us. There ain't enough police to evict EVERYONE by force. Ain't enough jails to house us all. Thank you all.
