About a year ago I quit my job as a mechanical and electrical technician for a parking company. I also sold my house and bought an RV to live in. Now I'm wandering around Northern Arizona enjoying my time by fishing and kayaking as I see fit.
I'm kind of looking for a job, but I have years of savings to live on. I got contacted by a company offering a job at a NOC. They couldn't meet my pay requirements, and they couldn't give me a day shift. Two things I had specifically laid out in my Craigslist post that they were replying to. When I brought this up they acted indignant, like somehow it was my fault that they didn't bother to read and they were doing me a favor by contacting me at all. I told them I have 30 years of experience, they should get the stick out of their ass and stop being so arrogant because if I had to have work I could easily find a job better than they were offering tomorrow, then hung up on them.
Then I came here to post and hopefully remind the rest of you that they need us, we don't need them.
Good luck out there.
