I know quitting some job at burger king isn't some big deal for most people but this is kind of special to me.
The first thing to know is that I actually like my coworkers. I'd actually lay down my life for them because they're some of the kindest souls on the planet.
but I'd only be saying that if it were still September. Since then over half of the original crew is gone and now we have people who I know mean well, but are not suited for the job frankly. One micromanages everything, one of them hasn't learned the basic sandwiches after over a month and the general manager cant utilize a budget, so we ended up running out of beef patties on a Friday night, and over $1000 in sales was down the drain that night. I mean its not like I took the grunt of that loss but it made the GM quit on Saturday (yes, I mean 2 days ago Saturday.) And honestly I'm not sticking around to see what hot mess occurs now. The morale was unbelievably low on Sunday and after one of our closers called in sick and forced a poor beginner to work **12 hours,** I handed in my two weeks.
I know for a fact that one our most competent night managers is resigning in May, and our best cook for breakfast is leaving in June. and the best front person for breakfast just quit too.
Honestly the place might fold, and I wouldn't miss it. I just feel bad that so many good people got caught in the crossfire.
