walked off my job this morning due to mental health.

I'll try to be short and straight forward, been a electrician for 7+ years now, back in January I applied for an electrical position that was permanent and promising. Things were well right out of the gate, company started me in underground electrical, at first I didn't mind because it was all new to me and definitely a learning experience but since then I haven't progress any futher, instead the company kept me in the same work on 3 different job sites now. For those of you who don't know, Underground electrical is digging trenches and laying pipes. Yes there are rules and layouts you have to follow but during my time I realized the work actually 10% electrical and 90% general labor, the tool you'll be using the most is a shovel…. Today was my breaking point, I showed up this morning and saw what needed to be finished,…

Today was my breaking point, I showed up this morning and saw what needed to be finished, right then and there I felt I was gonna have a meltdown. To keep myself from loosing it I just grab my stuff and left, got one coworker whose been trying to call me but I'm not answering. Going to head to the company office later to talk with HR and the hiring manager about my situation and possibly just move to another jobsite. If all fails I'll just quit and look for work elsewhere.

Guys don't destroy your mental health for a job you're not happy with, we all do our job with bitterness but there always a limitation.

I honestly to like working in electrical, even carpentry as well and I will continue to do that type of work, I just realized the hard way certain type of work is just not for me. If you're still reading this thx's for hearing me out.
