Recently got an interview through a third-party recruiter and while he has been incredibly helpful, HR for the company has been making the interview process more difficult than it should be.
Had 1st phone interview with her a few days ago but for whatever reason, their company is marked 'Suspected Spam' so I cannot receive any calls from them, it goes straight to voicemail. Called back immediately and interview went well despite that and her off-hand comments about COVID…
The next day, HR manager left voicemail at 5:30 pm saying she wants to schedule 2nd interview ASAP but she's already leaving the office so call her the next morning. I call 8:40 am Thurs, it goes to voicemail, I leave a message saying Thurs and Friday are too short notice for me so next Mon or Tues is perfect. I ask for her to email since there's still issues getting her calls.
HR lady leaves message at 3:30 pm asking for an interview TOMORROW (now today, Friday) and as she “knows I don't have a job right now or if I have other plans”, she insists for TOMORROW and to call her back within the hour. I wake up from nap at 4:45, call back, and she still doesn't answer. Left a message that I've been sick all day from a stomach bug, TOMORROW is still short notice but I can do any time next week, and to EMAIL me because I don't want to keep missing calls/prolonging the process. Manager calls again 5:15 pm only saying to call in the morning again, specifying she'll be in by 9 am.
I'm absolutely turned off at how rushed and inconsiderate she's been in a span of a week. I don't want to deal with it for another week so how do I communicate this job isn't going to work out? Is it worth mentioning this to the recruiter? I have an email drafted to schedule send for 8 am but I honestly just want to rest for the day.
