A trend I have seen lately is people posting how they left their last employer because they found a “better” one. It's a humble brag like they have advanced in life and need others to know it.
Sorry (but not really). For the record – I am sick of seeing posts people bragging about how they left their last job to find a new one that pays them more.
I don't care that you found a job that pays more. You are still a slave. You think somehow you won since you found a job that pays more which ironically will probably consume just as much of your time as your last position, if not potentially more. And you may even get pushed up into a higher tax bracket with that extra money you are making so more of it will actually be taken away.
What I really think is happening is that people choose to flex it. They want to feel their ego validated by some internet strangers because they accomplished the task of finding a higher paying slave position.
Congratulations.
People who don't like this post will just say oh he's jealous. Think whatever you want. At the end of the day these people are chasing money and that's what's going on as that is American culture today.
Corporate America knows extra money can be used to own certain people.
And that's what they did when they bought you from your last position.
Yet you come on here to brag about it to a crowd of people who hate working.
