How do you guys feel about dress code for work?

How do you feel about going to a job that wants you to dress professionally but don’t have that main professional clothes since your young coming from high school. Most of my wardrobe is jeans ,hoodies, sneakers and sweatsuits. I make sure to tell my employees that I don’t have a lot of clothes and one time the boss actually brought me to the store to buy me professional clothes like blouses and skirts, more short female clothes and it was the beginning winter, then 3 days later told me I need to be more feminine and wear makeup shoe some skin. Mind you my boss was a man and he wore the same tuexdo for 4 days out the work week and didn’t understand the females can’t not wear heels for 5hours straight standing. Btw I work as a sales rep for AT&T and went from store to store…

Btw I work as a sales rep for AT&T and went from store to store standing and walking trying to sell phones. He ended up firing me for not keeping up with the dress code when I would wear khakis and collar tops. It didn’t stop me getting customer. He just didn’t like that my 14 year old boy built body wasn’t feminine enough.
