If you can’t fill a very stressful position, maybe not reject qualified candidates over stupid shit.

I interviewed for a large pharma company 3 weeks ago and during the interview, they mentioned they were having difficulties filling the position and that the other member of the team were under a lot of stress. Got an offer on the same day. Accepted and started doing paperwork. Last week, they told me I had to pass a drug screen. Now, up until the beginning of February, I was a fairly regular pot smoker for about 20 years, but it had been about 6 weeks since I've toked up and I thought I would clear with no issue, I have a Medical card in my state and the state the employer is in is a legal state (I know, federal laws, etc). Despite documentation, they've withdrawn the offer. What was the position? Remote contract, graphic design. No equipment, no driving, nothing like that. Good luck filling that position, I…

Last week, they told me I had to pass a drug screen.
