How long should I wait to ask for a raise

I've been working as a design intern since the beginning of the year, and in the interview they told me there would be quarterly evaluations and possible raises. I work for minimum wage and so far they've just tried to change me from a w2 to a 1099 (I refused to sign anything though ) I do /good/ work, that would generally be 20-35$/hr, and the guys I work under have acknowledged that I and the intern team are above what they expected (albeit by sending a “thank you” gif in slack) Anyways how should I go about asking for a raise if at all? It's fully remote if that makes a difference.
