How I left my terrible job – Was it a win?

I worked at a supermarket and it was awful! For 7 1/2 hours of my day, I would stand outside cleaning trolleys while having to deal with angry customers due to covid restrictions. I had just turned 17 at the time I started and honestly, I didn't get paid enough for that shit! I was threatened multiple times by guys about twice my size just for doing my job. Management we're soft as fuck and so disconnected from the floor staff. They overlooked shift restrictions because of my age and I was working illegal hours for over a year. It was them who realised the mistake and they were essentially laughing over it when they told me. That said, I still didn't want to get a negative reference for my new job so I text my manager “Got to run, I just shat myself.” He said, “no worries” and I unfriended him on snapchat. I felt pretty good about that; my only regret was fulfilling 2 weeks. But now some time has passed and I'm a bit embarrassed to go back to the shop. Was it a win? Or was I a dumbass for even doing the 2 weeks?

TL:DR told my manager I shat myself to go for a walk in the lake district.
