New Job, Leaving the Old With One Last F-You

So I'm finally leaving my current job. I manage a small team but still very customer/client facing. My team are also grown ass adults so I don't really even need to “manage” them. Just give them the info and tools they need, and they do their job well and on time. I pull my manager card only to tell off shitty people that bother them. Overall bland but not but not bad work. However none of us have gotten a raise in 2yr. Cost of Living shot up. I had to leave. My boss when I asked for raises for us: “It pays more than the idustry average.” He blew me off when I said none of could barely survive on our pay and the idustry average was ancient and stagnate. So I'm finally leaving my current job. I manage a small team but still very customer/client facing. My team are also grown ass adults so I don't really even need to “manage” them.

Got an entry level job in tech paying almost double, and hourly, so OT is paid in time and a half. Way better benefits, schedule, etc.

When I gave my two weeks I also told my team. Gave them my cell. Showed them great jobs to apply to to. Helped 4/7 with resumes and gave really good and personally signed recs to each of them to copy and use whenever.

I don't like being a manager overall, but fuck with me and my people, I'll make sure to leave that place fucked over.

So basically I'm bragging that not only I could stick it to my boss, but I can stick it extra harder by using my position to facilitate a mass exodus.

I also refused to interview any more new hires or my replacement. Not lying to them. In fact, if they ask, I'd tell them keep looking if they can.

Guess day shift will be fuuuuucked and the client angry at a crucial time, but should've paid us better.

Oh, and my last day I told my boss my hourly rate, and by his expression, its more than he makes, or maybe he just panicked because I said it in front of everyone and he's worried they'll leave, or both. I'm a petty bitch when its aimed at douche bags, so I just had to sink the knife in and twist it.

TLDR: Leaving my management job for a an entry level job in a new industry and it lays nearly twice.

I'm also making sure my team has their resumes updated and I'm pushing them to leave as well and giving them glowing recs.
