Wage slavery…I want off the hamster wheel!

I will be 56yo this year and after thirty years of working hard as an RN, I am existentially tired. I am so very tired of toxic coworkers, s$%tty physicians, stress, early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays…honestly, I'm just so over the full-time grind altogether. Don't get me wrong, I do have some money in savings and retirement, but after having given up the majority of my most productive years, what I do have is totally disproportionate with the life energy that I have traded to just keep a roof over my head and food on the table. The final straw for me was when I recently ended up with an almost $5,000 tax bill even though I claim zero deductions?? WTF? The final straw for me was when I recently ended up with an almost $5,000 tax bill even though I claim zero deductions?? WTF? What…the IRS taking 1/3rd of my gross income in taxes throughout the year isn't enough? I wouldn't be so upset if this was helping to fund schools, infrastructure, social programs, young people's college tuition…it's not. It's going to purchase more bombs to drop on innocent brown people in third-world countries and make the defense contractors even wealthier. Don't flame me, I know I am no different than anyone else and that most jobs and careers these days suck. My plan? Purchase a tiny home, park it in a tiny home community ($400-500/month rent), and live on the cheap, working very part-time (just enough to cover basic expenses). But…what to do about medical/dental. Your ideas, suggestions, comments?
