It started off so good. I thought I was working for a generally progressive company. Making good money. I was learning so much.
A year later there'd been no management for 6 months for my team. Duties are crushing me and im not getting any help and expected to work ever harder then i already do. They took away our unlimited PTO and made it 0. They made us hourly instead of salaried and encouraged us saying it was so we could work more overtime. The decisions leadership made were horrible.
I got fired for a phone call because I've been under so much pressure. No leadership and no management to help us. Taking on things I wasn't ever prepared or fully trained to do but still did anyway and did it well until I couldn't take it anymore.
The ceo last week in our leadership meeting said she wondered why it's a toxic work environment. Maybe because you choose favoritism and overwork the fuck out of everyone you dumb b*tch. Have you ever considered how burnt out everyone is because you won't hire more people or don't even have a basic understanding of how to take a phone call in your own company anymore. (She literally said that as well as saying she'd “fucking fire everyone if they don't get it together.”
It's interesting for a company that claims to care so much about their riders they definitely don't care about their employees.
Shit covid protocols making people come in after being hospitalized or even still come in because “people are vaccinated”.
I'm sighing relief right now. I'm still in shock because I've never been fired but I'm so grateful. I'll go to a company that knows my worth and can give me what I need and deserve.
