Please be kind as I am not a fluent redditor. I am but a humble nurse. I'm posting this in hopes that I will gain some outside perspective on this situation. I work for a public health organization which allows student nurses to shadow us for two days out of the week. My position in the company is more out in the community than most. I do have a small office at one of the branches with a phone dedicated to myself (this will be important later). I have discovered that not only has my DON given the instructors my personal cell number, the instructors have given my cell number to the students to contact me and arrange meeting me for shadowing instead of contacting me at my work extension. I felt this was invasive and frankly poor boundaries. What say you people of reddit? Is this fair? Do I say something?
More importantly, if they want to have that kind of access to me should they not provide me with a work cell?
