I work for a large company, been here for a few years and have done a good job of it. For a while I've been an ideal candidate for management and the opportunity has now come. The job would come with higher pay and access to a company vehicle.
Instead I chose to go in the opposite direction, I'm not only staying where I am but also cutting my hours back to 30hr/week. I'm not going to ingratiate myself into this corporate system any further, time is far more precious than whatever they can offer me.
I choose life over work.
